Vitruvian Farms was founded by Shawn Kuhn, Craig Merten and Tommy Stauffer in June of 2010. Vitruvian Farms is an organic farm located in McFarland, less than 7 miles from the center of downtown Madison. As is the symbolism behind our name, our farm aims to follow three principles: Balance, Beauty and Proportionality. We strive to farm using all of these concepts and hope to instill them in others throughout our community. We are rooted on the basic ideas of community and sustainability. This begins with providing a great food source and continues with providing a place for the community to come together and be apart of something special. Farming is only the beginning of the amazing ideas and plans we have in the works for the future

We encourage anyone interested in being apart of this to come out to the farm. Lets change the world together.

Week one of our CSA season and we're pumped!

With a ~325 member CSA program it means the next 18 weeks will be high gear out here at the farm but we are so grateful to be able to get so much good food out into the community.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to vote. Recognitions like this are just one small way we can honor the amazing work our team of staff and volunteers do every day at the farm.

Take a peek in our greenhouses! The team has fully transitioned them from our spring veg of lettuce, bok choy, turnips, and radishes to our summer crops of tomatoes, peppers and more!

Our early tomatoes, planted in early April, are already starting to ripen!

We've been growing salad greens for 15 years and we think every year our Chef's Mix Salad Greens just keeps getting better and better.

Tommy shares what makes our salad greens so special, including years of figuring out just the right combination of taste and texture and the fact that often you'll be eating greens that have been harvested, washed, packed and delivered to you all within 24 hours.

Find our greens at our Farm Store in McFarland, online store with home delivery, at the W***y Street Co-ops, and at restaurants all around the Madison area!
