Lampert’s Market was started as a McKeesport neighborhood grocery store, butcher shop and deli in the 1930’s by the Lampert family. The current owners, Jan and Rick Kugler, who took over the business in 1993 remain dedicated to preserving the quality service that their customers came to rely on by doing Everything to Order – Cut to Order, Wrapped to Order and Always Fresh.

25 years ago today, our lives changed forever.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people went to work, boarded flights, and started what should have been an ordinary Tuesday. They never came home. Today we remember every one of them, and the families who have carried that loss for a quarter century.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, and EMTs who ran toward danger while everyone else was running away, and the many who never made it back out. We remember the ordinary people who became heroes that day: coworkers who carried strangers down smoke-filled stairwells, and the passengers and crew of Flight 93, who fought back and kept their hijacked plane from reaching Washington. They gave their lives in a field in Shanksville, right here in Western Pennsylvania.

We also remember the thousands of service members who answered the call in the years that followed and made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country, along with the veterans and military families who still carry the weight of that service today.

In the days after the attacks, something remarkable happened. Neighbors checked on neighbors. Flags went up on every porch. Strangers lined up for hours to give blood. For a while, we weren't divided by anything. We were simply Americans, standing together.

That spirit is worth holding on to. Today, take a moment to remember, hug your family a little tighter, and thank a first responder or veteran when you see one.

We will never forget.

We want to wish you a Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸🌭🍔🥩
We will be closed today.

Due to last week's storm, we wanted to let you know that we are aiming to have pork, sausages, chops, and chicken available by Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, we won't have beef until Wednesday afternoon.

Starting Tuesday morning, will have lunch meats, cheeses, deli salads, sandwiches and hoagies, takeout items at our deli, desserts, bread and buns, beverages, and sauces/spices/rubs.

Enjoy your Labor Day and we hope to see you this week!
