Bella had been hard at work on this Thursday morning.
She helped Lori get her plant starts in the ground today. It is a perfect day for it and if we get rain soon, like the weather man is suggesting then the plants will be off to a good start. No doubt some of the food from the plants will be at the market later:) TY, Bella!

Shelly literally comes to us from halfway around the world, and she brings with her an incredible blend of culture, skill, and heart. From baking and cooking to the delicious items she grows in her garden, everything she shares is crafted with passion and tradition.

She is smart, knowledgeable, and has the heart of a teacher—people love learning from her and getting a taste of her heritage. Shelly adds something truly special to our market, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the McLoud Farmers Market family! 💛

So happy to say our elephant garlic that we sell at the market is coming along beautifully!
Last year a furry creature or a whole tribe of them ate 2/3’s of all the elephant garlic bulbs. I was flabbergasted! What creature will eat the whole giant garlic bulb? We took measures to protect the bulbs from the burrowing creatures and so far so good. No sign of them. Looking forward to making garlic powder out of a few of these bulbs. So easy to do.

Bobbie Bingham, owner of Farmstead on Fish, (location on Fishmarket road), has been working very hard as you can see by the pictures of these young, healthy plants. But the season rolls on and plants grow quickly, come and select yours soon.

We're excited to kick off our vendor spotlight series on non-market days, starting with a warm welcome to our newest market member who belongs to Cesar and Melissa Ramirez of D’Amore Homesteading. Isn't this adorable baby a wonderful addition? We are sure Cesar and Melissa will someday teach Cassius how to make their enticing products shown in the pictures:)
