We are at the Rutherford County Farmers Market in Murfreesboro right now until 7:00 p.m.! We will not be at the market this coming Friday! So if you need any sprouts or anything this week, come on out this evening and see us! We have five different kinds of sprouts, Apple Ginger iced tea, lemon ginger kombucha, the sweetest cherry tomatoes you'll ever eat, green beans, okra, little cucumbers, apple pie popcorn , and apple oat muffin bars!

Friday evening- Red Apple Days in Auburntown- we will be behind the playground!
Saturday all day- Red Apple Days in Auburntown- we will be behind the playground!
Pick a day and stop by and see us for some fresh sprouts, cherry tomatoes, little cucumbers, okra, green beans, and special for Red Apple days, Annie will have kombucha, Apple-Ginger tea and organic green tea! Plus we will be bringing apple pie popcorn! (Fresh-popped, organic popcorn seasoned with our own homemade seasoning blend-made with real apples!) Yum!

The Rutherford County Farmers Market will host Evening Markets every Tuesday night in August, inviting the community to shop local produce and goods while enjoying free, family-friendly activities designed to bring the community together after school or work. The Evening Markets will take place each Tuesday in August, from 2pm-7pm at 315 John R Rice Blvd in Murfreesboro.

The Evening Markets will feature the same local farmers and vendors shoppers know and love.

“The Tuesday Evening Markets are an easy way for families to shop local and enjoy time together after school or work,” said Hannah Bleam, Manager of the Rutherford County Farmers Market. “We’re proud to support our farmers by testing out this evening market and connecting the community to these farms."

August Tuesday Evening Market Schedule:
Tuesday, August 4 — Pajama Storytime at the Market, 6:00 PM
Tuesday, August 11 — Back to School Family Glow Stick Dance Party, 5:00 PM
Tuesday, August 18 — Corn Husk Craft Night (All Ages / Family Night), starting at 5:00 PM
Tuesday, August 25 — Farmers Market Bingo Night (All Ages / Family Night), 5:30 PM

Community members are encouraged to arrive early, shop with local vendors, and stay to participate in the evening’s activity. Event times listed reflect the start time for each special program.

There will be no morning market on evening market days. The market will continue their normal hours on Fridays from 7am-12pm.

Broccoli sprout update: After experimenting with different broccoli sprout seed varieties, we are excited to be switching over to Sano Verde Max! This variety grows much better for us, the sprouts have a lot more vigor and are just better growing for us overall. It is also bred to have 3-4 times more glucoraphanin which is a precursor to sulforaphane! I am copy and pasting the information about this variety off of our seed supplier website:
"Sano Verde Max was developed with an explicit focus on increased glucoraphanin content. It is a unique broccoli sprout variety with proven consistently high levels of glucoraphanin, a precursor to sulforaphane. Scientists continue to study sulforaphane for its potential to prevent and fight cancer, reduce inflammation, and balance the metabolism. Developed in collaboration with health researchers at a leading university, third-party testing demonstrates that Sano Verde Max has 3–4 times the glucoraphanin level of standard broccoli sprouts! USDA Certified Organic."

This seed is a lot more expensive for us to buy though, so this does mean a price increase on our broccoli sprouts, which will now be $5 per pint. Thank you for understanding, and we hope that you will try out the new variety and love it as much as we do!

Hey friends, our spring mix sprouts clamshells now include mung beans! ..Come stock up on your salad and sandwich fixins Friday the 31st at the Rutherford County Farmers market from 7am till noon! Don't forget to get you a cup of Annie's iced tea or kombucha while you're there! She made apple-ginger tea, lemon-balm tea, and lemon-ginger kombucha to bring! Yum! We are also bringing tomatoes, little cucumbers, green beans and okra! Come say hi to me and the girls, get your groceries, and support local farms!

Plus- fresh baked zucchini-oat muffin bars and Annie is bringing her blueberry-ginger kombucha and apple-ginger iced tea to cool you off while you shop! ...Support your local farm families while avoiding that diarrhea parasite that is coming from store-bought produce! 😉
