Indian Orchards is a small family-run orchard located just 30 minutes west of Philadelphia, and 5 minutes from downtown Media. We grow a wide variety of hand-tended fruits, including local heritage apples picked from 100-year-old trees, peaches and plums famous for their rich flavor and juiciness, and lush fields of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry bushes grown without any sprays. Surrounding

the orchard is verdant, old forest with patches of paw paws growing amidst the beeches and tulip poplars, while figs and Asian pears now compliment our older fruit trees. We also sell the finest quality local produce - including vegetables, jams & jellies, maple syrup, local raw honey, Jersey tomatoes, pickles & relishes, and more...

We’re starting to see a good number of blueberries on the bushes!! 🫐🫐🫐

We were a little worried with the major frost a few weeks ago that our blueberry crop would be somewhat thin, but we remain hopeful for a good crop this year. The bushes seem to be telling a good story! 😊 There are a lot of berries out there!

We had a great visit from a group of 1st and 2nd graders from Holy Cross today. We love educating the next generation about where our food comes from, how we grow it sustainably, and how we take care of the land!

We’ve got a lot going on in the greenhouse right now! 🙂 Getting ready for the opening!!

Farm Animal of the Week: Mr. Sylvester

Sylvester came to us about 10 years ago, with a sign around his neck that said "Help Me." He had some severe respiratory issues, but was full of incredible energy, randomly sprinting around the farm at full speed. We were able to get his issues taken care of and he has lived a long, peaceful life on the farm.

You will almost always find Sylvester in or near the barn. He will meow at you for pets and massages, and will otherwise do whatever he wants. You can often find him with his longtime companion Caroline, another "barn cat" Tom Cruise, or sometimes trying to become friends with Annabelle.

Still curious about a farm share for the 2026 season?

Here's a little more info about the program: farm shares are a "share" of our produce for year. The other common name for a farm share is CSA -- community supported agriculture -- and we really appreciate the support we've had from the community over the years.

If the weather permits, we normally start the shares around blueberry season and continue until apple season. Our share is unique in that, usually, at least half of each weekly share consists of fruit -- that's where the "orchards" part of our name comes from! But that doesn't mean we don't love vegetables -- we do, and there are plenty of veggies in the share each week.

Someone recently asked about how much produce they could expect, and we often say that it's a good amount for family of four, although we tend to have families say it's sometimes much more than they expect!

To learn more about the farm share program, check out our website below. Or, if you have additional questions about the, please email us at [email protected], or give us a call at 610-324-2484. Thank you!
