Are you ready?! It’s almost the Opening Day of our 2026 season and we can’t wait to see you on Thursday, June 11th! We’ve expanded our vendor lineup to over 30 local food producers each week, we’ve increased our SNAP match to $15, and we’re adding new community programming — including Art at the Market with and cooking demonstrations.
There’s lots to love at the Melrose Farmers’ Market and we can’t wait to see you soon! 💚

✨ We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news ✨

Thanks to the support of our community, we’re increasing our SNAP Match from $10 to $15 this season!

This means SNAP customers can now receive up to $15 in matching funds each week — turning $15 in SNAP benefits into $30 to spend on food at the market.

This increase helps bring more fresh fruits and vegetables to local tables while also supporting the farmers and food producers who make our market possible. 🍅

We’ve been working hard toward this increase for many months, and it truly would not have been possible without the engagement of our incredible community. We’re thrilled to have talented local musician .santillo.music leading our Music at the Market program this year! Oren is coordinating our weekly lineup of musicians from June through October, helping make the market a vibrant community gathering place that supports not only local food producers, but local artists, too.

Oren is an 18 year old jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Melrose, MA. He has been playing music his whole life and regularly plays in Melrose, Boston, Cambridge, and beyond, playing legendary venues such as Club Passim, the Middle East, and the Lilypad, as well as headlining Royalston Music Fest with his band in 2023. As well as performing, Oren runs booking for multiple local organizations including Melrose Jazz Fest, Melrose Farmers Market, and Lovesick Chicken Studios.

We want to give a special shout out to one of our wonderful long-time sponsors and supporters, Bo Tsang DiMatteo. creates our beautiful market flyer each season, and she also designed all of our outreach materials to help us raise more funds this year. She’s currently working on a large banner design to help promote the farmers’ market that will hang over Main St., and we’re so excited to see it come to life. Thank you, Bo, for your tremendous generosity, creativity, and ongoing support of the market community!

This self-guided tour highlights 10 creative urban green spaces, from backyard retreats to container gardens. Proceeds benefit the SNAP Match program, doubling SNAP benefits at the market to provide fresh, local produce for families in need.
