The Seasonal Salad just changed over to peach. We roast them here, skin on, and serve them over spring mix with our house whipped ricotta, toasted almonds, hot honey we make in house, and basil from Works Urban Farms. Balsamic on the side.

Peaches are almost gone for the year, so this one has a short run.

Sweet and savory at once, and gluten free.

The National Guard is out of the Memphis Safe Task Force!
Almost eleven months of soldiers on our sidewalks. Crime was falling before they got here, and it kept falling the whole time they were, and it will keep falling after they go.
This is a good day and it is not the finish line. The rest of the Task Force is still here, making life difficult & dangerous for our neighbors.
Now send the rest of them home!

The Tennessee National Guard is no longer working with the Memphis Safe Task Force, Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris told WREG on Friday.

We’re getting our food ready, and our friends are prepping too.
Volunteers with day jobs, 40 to 60 doors a week, groceries for neighbors this city has made it dangerous to be seen shopping in.

This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we are giving 10% of our food and drink sales to The Immigrant Pantry.
The Pantry is a group of Memphians who deliver groceries to immigrant families unable to leave their houses. Teachers, mothers, social workers, people with day jobs, packing boxes in their garages and driving them across the city. They started last July at about eight deliveries a week. They are now running 40 to 60 a week, and they have made more than 2,200 since they began. The demand went up the moment the Task Force hit the streets.
Every delivery is a box of staples, rice and beans and masa and cooking oil, plus household and hygiene essentials, and then a volunteer goes out and shops for fifty dollars of fresh meat, dairy, and produce for that specific family. About two hundred dollars of food and supplies, carried to a door by somebody who took the afternoon off to do it.
Jessica Miller, who cofounded the Pantry, put it this way. “This pantry was built on a simple belief: our immigrant neighbors deserve to know that even in moments of fear and uncertainty, this community will show up for them.”

Rob Brown opened Da Sammich Spot in Orange Mound in March 2025 to be a cultural hub for everyday people in the community. Paninis and Fried Bad wRaps on one side, free reentry programs, CDL classes, barber license training, and expungement help on the other. The walls say respect humans, protect children, lettuce be friends.
He has the same FreeThe901 poster on his door that we have on ours, and in January the Task Force parked forty officers outside his closed restaurant. He did this before we did, and he did it alone.

Summer Ave Art & Clay has been the 901’s one stop shop for clay since 2019. Laguna clay and glazes, Mudtools, Xiem tools, and people behind the counter who actually know the difference. They run classes and workshops for anyone who wants to try it, and monthly memberships if you’re already hooked.

Board to Beers started as Taylor Herndon’s board game collection, became a Kickstarter in 2019, and opened in Poplar Plaza in 2020. Five bucks gets you into the library, the beer and cider are local, and the whole point is that nobody is looking at their phone. Family friendly, trivia every week, and 3,500 games to pick from.

Midtown Bramble & Bloom is nine flower plots tucked into the backyards of Midtown neighbors, and a shop on Young Avenue where Marisa and Corey turn them into bouquets. They pay a living wage, farm without chemicals, and give a portion of what they make to organizations doing the work here, including a fundraiser for immigration advocates running right now.
