Nestled behind the Main Street historic buildings in our DORA district, MOAM hosts a variety of themed market days. I'm a lover of homegrown simple-made foods, community connection, and supporting and participating in art and crafts across all genres. There's nothing I love more than a good farmers market, and I want one in my community. I'm looking for like-minded people and especially vendors!

Our next crafter is coming to us from Urbana, Ohio, with a really cool origin story. Let me introduce you to Kayu Sumbu ran by Dakota & Glady Morrison.

Let me introduce you to a new artist vending at the MOAM. Joining us for Crafternoon Delight, Brighter Day Art & Crafts is coming to us from Fairfield Township.

At this booth on Saturday from Noon until 5PM, you’ll be able to see original paintings from Aaliyah who is gifted in abstract art on canvas, who is also a recent graduate of Miami University with a degree in Studio Art, as well as Kandi Bracelets made by Lee who is a freshman in high school.

Of course we'll have more than crafts at this Saturday's market just to mix it up a bit, but also this vendor will provide you with some take-home goodies, artisan breads and now meat!

We welcome back Fisher's Farm Stand & Baked Goods to our Crafternoon Delight event on Saturday, June 6th from Noon to 5PM. This Millville-based company is a small home cottage bakery that focuses on traditional recipes from our grandparents' generation. Their booth is your stop for yeast and specialty breads, focaccias, rolls, granolas, seasonings, and more.

We bring back another vendor from our Maker's Market this week for Saturday's special Crafternoon Delight market, Scoosh Designs is run by Brittany Fletcher of Middletown.

Well, we want to try something we haven't seen other markets do, and that we think will be loads of fun AND calories.

Here's our crazy idea. Let's gather some of the area's most talented small bakeries, cottage bakers and home bakers together and let them flaunt their stuff. Tag the talented bakers in your life and let them know they need to be here.

For official rules and entry information, interested bakers can visit our Google folder here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FvmjMnT8aygRtpI-Ndbb--tQGKhpROYM?usp=sharing. Information can also be found in this folder regarding Ohio Cottage Food laws and prohibited and allowable foods. (Will not apply to licensed bakeries.)

To register, each entrant must complete an application for a MOAM vendor booth. Information on how to do that can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eHu7dBicqFuDzMcynywjfOZ-WH7CeP0l/view?usp=drive_link.

Upon coordinator approval, a $30 fee will also be required to secure a booth (10'x10' space) for your entry. Each entrant will provide samples to market shoppers as they will be deciding the winners with on online survey that rates applicants in four different categories!!

There are 3 titles up for grabs: Best in Show, People's Choice, and Most Creative Bake with the Best in Show award coming with a sweet $75 cash prize!

Next up at the MOAM is our MOAM Presents: 2026 Special Event Series Crafternoon Delight-- a celebration of all our crafters, artists, designers and makers. This Saturday extravaganza will have our vendors showcasing some one-of-a-kind items born from their metaphorical perspiration and literal inspiration.

From sewing, crocheting and fiber arts, to beading and jewelry, to artwork prints and canvas, and so much more, we'll be in full crafting display at the MOAM on June 6th from Noon to 5PM. Come watch some of our crafters in action and take some time at the MOAM booth maker station to have your own moment of creation.

Of course, we will have food trucks (including BL BBQ, Relish This! and Blue Eye Beverages), our cottage bakers, our growers and beekeepers, and our book vendors as well. Kids and pets are always welcomed. So make plans to come on out for MOAM Presents: 2026 Special Event Series and celebrate our local makers.

You guys....

We had such a fun market day!! The brunch from Wildcraft Gatherings was so on point. That frittata is my new addiction. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we got to show off the beginnings of our new market entrance on the 1st Avenue side, and we got to show off so many more of the talented MOAM vendor community.

We loved seeing our returning shoppers again this month and welcoming some new ones to the market for the first time!!

Our next event will be MOAM Presents: 2026 Special Event Series: Crafternoon Delight on June 6 from Noon-5PM, so if crafting is your jam, you better make plans because we are bringing you a variety of crafters and makers. This time we will have a Saturday market.

Then we are back for Second Sundays @ the MOAM (Middletown's Open Air Market) with The Great Local Bake-off on June 14 from 11AM-5PM, featuring small businesses, cottage bakers and amateur home bakers who want to flaunt their stuff. If you like salty, crunchy, sweet, chewy and indulgent, and if you don't mind the carbs, this will be one you want want to miss. More details coming soon, but we already have a number of vendors lined up for this one. (We will have some other types of vendors too though and Colton Cassidy will be in the market playing some live music.)

And then just in time for July 4th cookouts, we'll have another MOAM Presents: 2026 Special Event Series: Red, White & Bloom on June 20th from 2PM-7PM for a later Saturday market. You'll find all the things you need to decorate your with the red, white and blue and summer flowers in full bloom. You'll also find some amazing food items for sale that will be great for hosting or truck bed firework picnics.

We genuinely appreciate those patrons who continue to show up for us, even offering words of encouragement and love for bringing life into the downtown that we all love so much. Our hearts are full of gratitude, and we can't wait to see you at a future event!
