There's a word in Italian: fata. It means fairy.
And Faye — the name of our co-owner — means "gift of God" in Greek.
So they called it La Fata's Eatery. Because some things in life aren't coincidence. They're fate.
Rakesh Nayak grew up in a small village in India. He slept in a basement in Queens. He trained under European chefs. He learned that food isn't fuel — it's ceremony.

Now he brings that ceremony to 19 North St, Middletown. Imported prosciutto, curated Italian wines, artisan sandwiches made to order. Orange County's only Italian wine dispenser.
