What does the future hold for the Pedestrian Plaza? Your input will help decide!

Since 2020, the Downtown Midland Pedestrian Plaza has provided a two-block, vehicle-free area of Main Street for expanded shopping, dining, gathering, and events each summer. In 2022, the Midland City Council gave multi-year approval to renew the Pedestrian Plaza annually from early June to late September through the 2025 season.

What will happen after 2025? You can help us determine its future by completing our survey!

In this survey, you'll be asked about your experience in the Pedestrian Plaza during the 2024 season and your opinion on whether it should continue annually beyond 2025.

Once completed, the results of the survey will be shared with City staff, the Downtown Development Authority Board, Downtown Midland businesses and property owners, and the Midland City Council to help determine the future of the Pedestrian Plaza. Discussion is anticipated to come before the Downtown Development Authority Board in November and City Council in December.

This survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and will close to responses on Sunday, October 6 at midnight.
