Farm Farewell
We want to reach out to let you - all of our dedicated supporters - know that we are closing Francis Family Farms. As life changes and obligations get bigger sometimes hard changes have to be made. We have loved our time on the farm. Our children have spent their young childhoods growing up in the beauty of this magical place. It is truly bittersweet as we make this change.
We love the beauty that we have had the pleasure of spending seven seasons cultivating and improving. It has always been full of surprises. We started this journey with the front portion of this land. We started with just one tractor and a small tiller made for a home garden. The second year the landowner allowed us to expand and the real work began. We have watched as the wind laid down 6 rows of corn. The raccoons ate the cantaloupe and corn. The deer bedded down in the corn and ate a bunch of pumpkins. We planted flowers and then we didn’t and I said I would never go another season without having flowers because they add so much. We added raspberry bushes and waited. We added asparagus and waited. And all of you know that after waiting we were able to have the most amazing asparagus and raspberries imaginable. We tried to grow many things some were amazing and some were flops. We finally got it pretty dialed in and we made the farm the best we could with lots of prayers and guidance from God. It has been full of ups and downs just like life is supposed to be. This past season was AMAZING! What a blessing it was to have a long season with beautiful warm days until the very end. The flowers were the most beautiful this season. The raspberries lasted until the very end, and we were able to grow more pumpkins than ever before! It was a truly great season and for that we are thankful.
We will miss you! Our farm friends who made the hard work not only bearable but enjoyable. We have had some of our best memories as we have watched your littles come and grow. Just as our family has grown up in the field your children have as well. Thank you for making the farm part of your traditions. Thank you for letting our boys show you where to find the good raspberries while they ate more than they helped you pick. Thank you for letting your littles make memories as they picked, and ate, and came back to the front of the field smeared with raspberry juice. Thank you for coming to pick pumpkins and thank you for letting your children fill carts to overflowing - because it truly made them so happy. Thank you for supporting us, loving us and for being our true friends.
Thank you for making this experience truly beautiful!
A Call To Action

If you would like to contribute any photos or stories to be included in the book please email them to us at: [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you!
