Time to plant potatoes! I missed Good Friday but today is a better day to be working outside.
These sprouted potatoes are left from my last year’s crop. It is the right environment in my basement to get growing on their own. I am not going to cut them up much since they have great roots developing. I am putting these directly in the garden but they would be a great choice for using in pots and containers.
If you have potatoes from the store that look like this, don’t pitch them- plant them! If you use containers, set the pot in a protected spot until the last frost then move them into full sun. In a couple of months, you will be rewarded with delicious potatoes at no extra cost. ,wantnot.
