Huffs Market is a small community store owned by Dylan and Kensey Amerson. We are in the process of renovating the store with the hopes of reopening sometime in March 2022. The store has been in Dylan's family for about 60 years - his great aunt Dorothy Huff (Dottie) ran the store for decades before closing the store in early 2021. aple of the community once again. A bit more about us:

Dylan grew up in Milledgeville, and moved to Tennessee to work in Great Smoky Mountains National Park in 2013 . We spent the next 8 years working in outdoor education in Utah and then back in the Smokies again. In 2021, family approached us about moving back to Milledgeville and taking over Dottie's store. We were expecting Sawyer, our first child, and decided this was the time to try an entirely new direction in life. Throughout our travels, we have always been grounded by the wonderful people surrounding us, and we decided it was time to return to Milledgeville to the community and family we have here. We hope to reopen Huff’s Market to meet the needs of anyone who comes in the door. Huff's will have all of the staples of your traditional corner market with as many locally sourced products as possible. We will serve Dottie’s famous Sausage Biscuits every morning, and well as our (not quite yet) famous Biscuit Bites. Whether it is served with breakfast, lunch, or sold in the grocery section, meat will be sourced from either C&B processing, Comfort Farms, or other local sources. Delicious dairy products (milk, cheese, and ice cream) will come from Rock House Creamery in Madison. We are finding new local partners everyday and look forward to bringing Georgia grown items to Milledgeville. We hope to hear from the members of our community what they would like to see at the store, and we will do our best to bring it to y'all.
