Sorry for the delay on this… the weekend got a little sideways on us.

But seeing all the comments, shares, tags, and names rolling in was genuinely cool. Some of you have been with us since the beginning, and some of you just got tagged into this thing like a family group text you didn’t ask for. Either way, we’re really thankful you’re here.

The Mill Yard keeps growing, which still feels wild because most days it feels like we’re keeping everything moving with caffeine, bread, and the executive function of a squirrel in a bouncy house.

Winner of the $30 gift card is at the end.

Thank you all for 3K followers, 3K sandwiches, and a whole lot of support.

BEC, cinnamon roll, latte.

Make The Mill Yard part of the plan. You can’t just be out here hungry and under-caffeinated with porch-sale energy like the county forgot about you. A BEC can help that.

The Gulf Coast Godfather looks good, smells good, and has the confidence of a man who uses speakerphone in public with no fear of judgment.

The Conecuh sausage from the crawfish boil is back by popular pressure.

But it has changed.

It came back with Pasta Garage "Italian Cafe" arrabbiata sauce, peppers, onions, and melted provolone like it spent 48 hours on the coast, bought white sunglasses at a gas station, and started giving unsolicited boat-buying advice to people with student loans.

Toasted Hopewell Bake Exchange ciabatta holding the whole thing together like the only adult in Gulf Shores who still has the condo key and both eyebrows.

We’re calling it The Gulf Coast Godfather, or the GCG if you’re in a hurry or just want people to wonder what meetings you’ve been sitting in.

This sandwich has Alabama roots, Italian confidence, and the energy of a man who has never once paid retail for a boat battery.

And I’m telling you right now, this one needs to be tried.

It’s dang good.

Legit legit.

And if you’re headed out for the 400 Mile Sale, stop in first. You’re about to stand in a driveway and seriously consider a milk can, a bent fishing net, and a bag of loose remotes like you’re building a life from scratch after a shipwreck.

Friday and Saturday while it lasts.

Friends… we need to talk.

We just hit 3,000 followers on Facebook.

And around the first of May, we hit 3,000 sandwiches.

For a small shop still learning as we go, that means more than we know how to say without getting weird about it.

Every order, every share, every tag, every comment, every lunch run, every coffee stop, and every person who has driven over from another town just to see what this place is about... it has helped carry this further than we could have done on our own.

We’re grateful for that.

Not professionally grateful. Personally grateful. As a real thank you from the people behind the counter.

The kind where it sinks in that a whole lot of people have chosen to be part of this with us.

So to mark the moment, we’re giving away a $30 Mill Yard gift card.

3K sandwiches.
$30.00 gift card.

That many threes felt like a sign, and around here we try not to ignore signs unless they’re parking signs.

To get in, all you have to do is:

Like this post.
Tag a friend who needs a coffee, a sandwich, or both because their lunch plan looks like it was notarized behind a dumpster.

We’ll pick a winner Sunday 6/7 at 8 AM.

Thank you all for showing up, whether you’re right down the road or making the drive from somewhere else.

We notice it. We appreciate it. And we don’t take it for granted.

Well.

Turns out Gyro Night was not an idea. It was a need, a movement, and apparently a button all of y’all were waiting on somebody to push.

So we’re doing it.

Gyro Night is happening Saturday, June 20th, starting at 6:00 PM.

That is 6/20 at 6, which also happens to be Savannah Faye Robin’s favorite day.

We’ll have warm pita, tzatziki, tomato, onion, feta, and a local collab featuring Schwartz Meat Company shaved lamb and Robin Ridge Farms shaved beef.

Lamb. Beef. And a lamb/beef blend for the people who don’t avoid conflict, they marinate it.

New to our evening events: TRIVIA.
Come for the gyros. Stay because somebody at your table suddenly believes they’re the professor of pita.

Family-friendly. Saturday evening. Good food. No one has to pronounce gyro correctly. That kind of pressure belongs in Lexington.

More details coming soon.

For now, mark it down:

Saturday, June 20th. 6:00 PM. Gyro Night at The Mill Yard.

Pita made the calendar.

That’s on you all.

June coffee menu is live.

We made summer drinkable.

Your normal order has been officially put on notice.

Blueberry Cobbler Latte
Blueberry, white chocolate, cookie butter, cinnamon.
Like dessert got up early and decided to be useful.

S’mores
White mocha, dark mocha, toasted mallow, mallows on top.
Campfire flavor without pretending you enjoy sleeping on the ground.

Honeysuckle
Honey, vanilla, cinnamon.
Sweet, smooth, and entirely too confident for something named after a flower.

Cinnamon Roll
Cinnamon, cookie butter, vanilla, topped with our house-made cinnamon roll cold foam.
My personal favorite, which means nothing legally, but should probably influence your decision.

Hello Dolly
Butterscotch, coconut, chocolate.
Old-school dessert flavor with just enough attitude to make your grandma suspicious.

Also… some of these iced lattes may or may not be getting ready to leave the building in a more portable fashion. More on that soon.

Available all June at The Mill Yard.

What we treasure has a way of leading us.

That truth found us during church today, right in the middle of a season where we needed it.

We’ve been walking through some trying things in our own life, and we keep coming back to this: gratitude has a way of steadying the heart.

So we’re adding a simple gratitude jar at the shop. There will be wooden coins nearby… write down something you’re thankful for and drop it in.

Small reminders matter.
Live with humility. Serve without needing applause. Give toward things that matter. Don’t forget the awe of what God is doing right in front of us.

Jesus emptied Himself. That is the model. That is the reminder. That is the way.
