We can get these nice colored pigs at Middleburg auction for $1/lb. Live. Below is our price list as well as a breakdown of 1 we did recently. We can hang 1 up for you as soon as July 30. We can also buy from the neighbors - some hogs, raised on pasture, non gmo grain, table scraps, and love, at $1.24 live weight.

Taken from the meating place magazine. Tyson took a 1.1billion $ loss on beef processing in 2025. And made it up in chicken. 'Price Suppression' - great for the shoppers but hard on the smaller, beef farmers, and processors.
