We have been silent since our sudden closure at the end of March. Paula was diagnosed in December with cancer and has endured agony throughout her chemo and radiation treatments. We thought we could take a hiatus and come back strong.
Cancer is so cruel.
I have been diagnosed in June with Pancreatic cancer, very advanced and located in several vital organs.
Cancer is so cruel.
We are under contract to sell the property, equipment, name, and phone number.
Milroy Deli has meant a lot of things to Paula and I. Milroy has been very good to us and we certainly have made some very special friends along the way. Running the Deli was a lot of hours and sweat, but we do not regret the experience. Our closing is simply because of cancer.

Milroy Deli will be closed for 4 weeks starting Monday. Cancer has struck us and we are forced to make this hard decision. We are not..repeat not.. going out of business but a hiatus is required to get through the treatments. We will fulfill our obligation to The Milroy Baseball Association to honor any outstanding food vouchers by extending the expiration date of May 31st for at least 4 weeks. Anyone wishing to get a refund should contact Milroy Baseball directly.
We humbly ask for your patience and prayers in our time of need. Any calls to the store will not be answered.
Cancer is a cruel and unforgiving disease. Most of you out there has had a family member in the same situation and it is our wish to work through this situation.
Milroy has been very good to us, and we want to remain strong and positive. Thank you all for your prayers so far and please keep us in your hearts.
