Job Title: Packaging/Retail
Wages: Begins at $14.00 an hour. Pay based on experience.

Job Overview: Packagers provide high-quality meats and services to our customers. Packagers prepare, package, stock, and rotate meat products, order and receive meat and supply shipments, perform quality inspections, and adhere to food safety standards. Packagers speak with customers to provide advice on meat cuts, preparation methods, and coordinate pickups.
Position Description:
• Prepare, package, weigh, label, price, and display meat products for sale.
• Handle and inspect carcass and cuts of beef, pork, lamb, poultry, seafood, game, and other meat products.
• Adhere to safety, food safety, sanitation, and humane handling standards, according to USDA, FDA, and Minnesota Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, HAACP, SSOP, and industry best practices.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, workspace, and shared spaces.
• Meet daily production, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Provide high quality customer service.
• Coordinate and accept deliveries, orders, and payments.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to use hand tools and packaging equipment, stand or walk for extended periods of time, maintain balance, squat, lift up to 50 pounds, work in a cold environment, and possess good personal hygiene.
• Possess good communication and customer service skills, be detail oriented and self-directed, possess high level of concentration and eye to hand coordination, and possess knowledge of or be willing to learn about meat quality, cuts, and preparation.
• Able to work some Saturdays.
