At Graham's Produce and Baked Goods, we don’t just love eating fresh, tender greens—we love growing them from the ground up! 🥬✨
We proud ourselves on growing our own greens, and now we want to help you do the exact same in your own backyard or balcony. We are officially selling healthy, vibrant collard green seedlings just like the one you see here in the picture.
If you're picking up a seedling from us, you don't even need a massive garden plot to get started. Fabric grow bags are one of the absolute best ways to raise them. Because grow bags let the roots breathe, your collards will grow massive, beautiful leaves in no time.
Here is exactly how to plant your new Graham’s seedling into a grow bag for success:
🥬 How to Plant Your Seedling in a Grow Bag
Pick the Right Bag: Collards develop a deep, robust root system. Use at least a 5-to-10-gallon fabric grow bag for a single plant to give it plenty of room to stretch out.
The Perfect Dirt Blend: Fill the bag with a high-quality, well-draining potting mix. Mix in a generous amount of rich compost—collards are heavy feeders and love nutrient-rich soil!
Planting Time: Dig a small hole in the center of the bag, gently remove your Graham's seedling from its starter pot, and place it in the soil. Bury it right up to the base of its first leaves and press down gently around the stem.
Sun & Water: Place your grow bag in a sunny spot that gets 6 to 8 hours of sunlight a day. Give it a thorough watering right after planting, and keep the soil consistently moist. (Fabric bags dry out a bit faster than plastic pots, so check them often!)
Harvesting Tip: As it grows, you can harvest the outer leaves first and let the center keep producing all season long!
