FOOD ACCESS IS SHIFTING..AND OUR COMMUNITY IS FEELING IT.

This season, funding for Produce Bucks was not renewed, reducing the EBT match that many of our neighbors rely on to access fresh, healthy food at Midtown Farmers Market.

At the same time, Minnesota regulations mean EBT-Cash recipients are no longer able to receive matching benefits, impacting many elders and families who still depend on this support.

Midtown Bucks is our community-powered response.

It helps us continue matching EBT dollars so families, elders, and low-income neighbors can keep accessing fresh, healthy food at Midtown Farmers Market.

Another beautiful day at Midtown 🌿✨

This Memorial Day weekend, come spend it with us for a full lineup of vendors, programs, and community energy 💛

We’ll be joined by .garden for an all-abilities yoga flow 🧘🏽‍♀️ (bring your own mat, please!) and will be leading a music + movement class just for the kiddos 🎶🪩

Additionally, Sam's Helping Hands will be joining us with essential items for those in need. They are also seeking donations for spring/summer items, hygeine items, and more. Please see the last slide for more info :)

From fresh veggies 🥕, delicious vegan eats 🌱, to ethically sourced crystals, there’s something for everyone this weekend.

Fresh food should be ALWAYS be accessible to everyone.

Midtown Farmers Market has long been committed to making fresh, local food accessible for our community. But with federal funding cuts and limitations to EBT matching programs, many neighbors are now receiving fewer resources to shop at the market.

That’s why we launched Midtown Bucks, a community-funded initiative helping us continue matching EBT dollars so families, elders, and underserved community members can access healthy food with dignity.

When you support Midtown Bucks, you’re supporting local neighbors, local vendors, and a market rooted in accessibility, care, and community. ❤️
