Anyone want fig leaves?
Fig leaf syrup is subtle, floral, and naturally sweet — like a lighter almond syrup with coconut + vanilla vibes. Perfect in coffee, iced tea, or even cocktails.
Recipe:
• 1 cup water
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 fresh fig leaves, rinsed + lightly toasted
How to:
Toast the leaves in a dry skillet until fragrant (30–60 sec per side).
In a saucepan, combine sugar + water over medium heat, stirring until dissolved.
Add leaves + simmer gently 10–15 min.
Turn off heat + steep 30–60 min.
Strain into a jar or bottle.
Storage:
Fridge for up to 2 weeks.
