In an effort to...do more stuff...I'm going to make try and revive Nom Chompsky: A Grub and Grog Blog, which I started when I had a lot more free time. I'm going to start by writing a mini-review of something I never get tired of and don't mind talking about plenty: burgers. I'll do a short write up on every burger in the City of Mobile worth mentioning, plus some from the county. Please feel free to give me suggestions (NO chains, and no Baldwin County yet). I'll list every place that I've been or plan to go to reduce redundancy. FYI just because it's on this list doesn't mean that I'll feature it, some of these don't deserve remark.

Bartenders and home bartenders: Give your Old Fashioneds a little more complexity by using Demerara sugar instead of regular sugar, a type of unrefined and unprocessed sugar derived from sugar cane, rather than sugar beets. In Mobile I've found it at the Winn Dixie at Catherine and Government, though I suspect Fresh Market may carry it as well.
