Rest easy old girl - you and your brother were the first living things I purchased for the farm, you helped make me the farmer I’ve become. You protected our stock and our land with a fierceness that may forever be unmatched. Your bark against the stillness of the night as you scared off and fought coyotes, foxes, weasels, and even bears has been the night time soundtrack to my life for 12 years. I remember selecting you proudly from Angel’s litter and since then you’ve given us all you had. The bond between a livestock guardian dog and a farmer is different than that of a companion or other working dog and ours was even more special than most. I know you’re powerful and young again wherever you are and that your energy and essence will always be here . Thanks for celebrating your life with us this past week and letting the boys and your fellow LGD’s know that it was ok. Love you forever
