The Monett Area Farmer's Market first started in Monett's South Park in 2015 with two vendors. Our initial funding came from a grant from the Healthy Schools/Healthy Communities through the

In 2018, a ribbon was cut on the new downtown pavilion and park, making room for our new facility. As part of the capital campaign to build the pavilion, Tyson Foods graciously made a large donation with the

agreement they would have market naming rights for perpetuity. In the five years of existence, the market has grown from two vendors to more than ten on a regular basis. In 2021, we plan to bring in additional products, services and miscellaneous things to help increase attendance and visibility of the market.
