🧦 Whipped Laundry Sauce 👕

Instructions: Add 1 Tbsp to small or lightly soiled loads directly in the washing machine or add 2 Tbsp to large or more soiled loads directly in the washing machine

I know the below ingredients list looks scary BUT it's just Fels-Naptha, Borax, Washing Soda, and a touch of water. I honestly have not found anything that takes stains out, brightens whites, and leaves my clothes smelling like nothing. Other soaps always smell weird after they have sat in my closet for a long time but not this combo.

I hope you all enjoy this whipped laundry soap as much as I have!

This is TOO EXCITING not to share!!!!!!!

Our boy Lapis has been busy showing off even though he doesn't have his long tail feathers! Lazuli still thinks he's pretty handsome though! Here's to hoping I can hatch this baby out! She must be feeling pretty comfortable in her new home to gift me an egg! 💙

How cute is this?! Finley loves our birds so much!

Our first waterfowl were Jumbo Pekin ducks which was our gateway drug to all of these other birds! This duck is just a standard pekin if that tells you anything about how big our jumbos are!

We have a small flock of pekins but have rouens and "mutt ducks" which are my name for mixed breed ducks. I'm sure I'll be featuring them soon.

What other kinds of ducks would you like to see us have or sell duckings or hatching eggs? 🦆

We have a bunch of fruit trees on our 1 acre property. We purchased our home back in January of 2018 and the only type of vegetation we had were some hedges, a few non-fruitful trees, and grass. BORING and nothing had purpose!

Since then, we have planted exactly 25 fruit trees and have some more to still put in the ground. We currently have apples, peaches, plums, and cherries but have some more thrilling additions coming soon.

I'm most excited about the two 4-way trees I bought from Chadwicks a few years ago. These trees have 4 variety of apples on 1 tree! I know absolutely nothing about grafting but I think they are super cool trees!

Granny Smiths are my favorite apples - What are yours? Maybe I'm growing some!

IT'S SUMMER TIME. Do you know what that means? The incubators are ALWAYS full!

In our last batch of birds, we hatched some new friends that we have zero experience with but have been doing some research on... QUAILS! They were mystery quails when I got them because they were gifted to me by a dear friend at Penobscot Poultry! DJ is the best! Let me know if there's anything that you want from him, I make trips frequently but give him a follow! He might have something you might be searching for!

These little cuties are considered Coturnix Celadon quails which are specifically bred to product sky-blue eggs. We are super excited to raise them and offer eggs soon! Quails reach laying age between 6 to 8 weeks and can lay up to 300 eggs per year!

The answer is: more goosers!

Meet the three biggest 4 month old geese I've ever laid eyes on! These French Toulouse come from Pine Valley Poultry in Greenfield, ME. The girl is the lighter more tan color of the group and her name is Smores. The boys haven't been renamed yet but I'm sure we will come up with something!

French Toulouse geese are typically bred as farm and meat birds. in southwest France. Adult females can weigh anywhere between 15 and 18 pounds while males are around 20 to 22 pounds. These baby's mother was 30lbs+ soooooooo we will see what happens! French Toulouse are considered the "watchdogs" for other birds in your flock but can also be used to help keep orchards and gardens clear of unwanted weeds.

Oh no! What did I do now?

Poor Jesse.... Who is he going to have to build a run and coop for now? Hint: I already have some of these, I just added some VERY sweet 4 month old babies to the mix. These ones actually let me touch them rather than running away like I'm going to murder them!
