Stay cool, Montpelier! ☀️🥵

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area today, Friday, June 12, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with heat index values hitting the upper 80s and low 90s.

If you need a place to beat the heat, several public cooling centers are open across the city today:

🏢 Montpelier City Hall (Council Chambers): 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

🚌 Montpelier Transit Center: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

📚 Kellogg-Hubbard Library: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

👵 Montpelier Senior Activity Center: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (for our senior community)

💡 Quick Tips to Stay Safe:
Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

Check in on neighbors, family, and pets.

Know the symptoms of heat-related illnesses.
