I decided to try and milk one of my Katahdin ewes this year. (You know, cause I dont have enough to do 🙄). Im really enjoying it! And the milk is good!! It does have a little sour after tone to it but research says it's from the alfalfa, so I'll be looking for an alternative. We are share milking her, she has twins and theyr doing well.

It is so exciting when this year's lambs start hitting the ground!! Its like christmas!! Twin ewe lambs were born Friday...

Here is this year's ram group. (Minus the big one, he's a weather). All born at the end of April. Katahdin/Royal White. All 100% grass fed since birth. Follow for more info regarding my Australian White/Royal White cross coming in Feb.
All rams are available for replacement or butcher.

So excited!! Got the Australian White ewes to add to our breeding program. They flock together so we'll, it will be good for our beginner herding dog. Australian Whites also have a bigger rump, wider chest and longer back. Which means more meat for u in ur frezzer.

Luckily the tornado started by my house and went northeast. Everyone here is fine, just wet.

We are officially done lambing for this spring!!! 9 lambs out of 5 ewes. 4 ram lambs and 5 ewe lambs. The ram lambs will be available in 100 days, but the ewe lambs were sold before they hit the ground.
