Each growing season begins with the hope for fruitful harvests as indoor seedlings are planted. The lineup of seeds for early spring field crops is waiting for when the soil can be worked.
We are excited for another season of fresh vegetable harvests from the farm!

January is start-your-engines month for the new growing season. The month starts with planning: reviewing how things grew last year, assessing our soil's health, addressing pest and disease issues, mapping crop rotations, and ordering seed and supplies.
To cap off January, we attended the NorthEast Ag Expo in Atlantic City, where there was so much to see and learn!

The vegetable seedlings we started in late winter produced beautiful crops this summer, which we were pleased to bring to our customers at the Marlton Farmers' Market.
Although delayed, we are looking forward to our cool-season vegetables.

Summer has arrived! We are continuing to seed, see growth, and are harvesting on the farm.
While we can't grow peas in the spring due to wet soil conditions, we do grow them as microgreens.
Microgreens are highly nutritious and versatile. We grow our other delicious microgreen, sunflower shoots, in our greenhouse to protect them from the chipmunks raiding our outdoor beds for their seeds.

"It's beginning to look a lot like SUMMER!"
After the long wait following winter for the soil to dry out and persistent rain and cool temperatures in May, we were finally able to seed greens and root vegetables. Eggplants, peppers, and tomatoes were also transplanted thanks to a few dry and warm days. Now June’s here with warmer temps! We hear the eggplants, peppers, and tomatoes saying, "That's more like it!" We couldn't agree more. The farm is on its way, turning sunshine and soil into healthy food!

Just like that, it's autumn. At the farm the trees have just started to change colors, the fall seedlings are growing and the bees are as busy as ever. We're also busy tending to the fall crops and preparing the soil in the cleared plots for great crops next season. Happy fall!

So many hot, sunny days this month allowed our peppers to ripen earlier than usual, showcasing beautiful reds, oranges, yellows, and mottled chocolate swirls!
Our farm supports not only people, but also goldfinches, bees, and butterflies. Take a look at our latest farm visitors!

Hello everyone!
The hot, dry weather helps plants produce more flavorful tomatoes. Visit us at the Marlton Farmers Market every Wednesday from 4 - 7 to enjoy these and more.

Some of our greens and lettuce have succumbed to the summer heat but will return in the fall. The tomatoes we've been waiting for, peppers, eggplants, and summer squash are starting to shine. Stringbeans will be appearing soon!
