With a heavy heart, after much consideration, we have had to make the difficult decision to close Joey’s Seafood and More.
Having a small business is incredibly difficult, especially in today’s economy. Prices for fresh, quality seafood are doubling, or even tripling over night recently. We made this difficult choice for a few reasons. We refuse to take shortcuts or compromise on the quality of our food to keep things “affordable” (or as affordable as we have tried at least). There has also been a significant loss in business that has contributed to this decision. Between Eversource, taxes, and food prices sky rocketing combined with the business slowing down, we are left with no other choice but to close our doors.
This is such an incredibly hard choice to make because of the significance of the restaurant’s name, in addition to, this being a dream to the family. We so badly wanted this to succeed as to not let Joey or George down. We tried as long as we could to keep these doors open to honor them both.
We do not yet have a specific date set to close down. We will at least remain open for the remainder of September. Please come enjoy our food while we remain open! We will be business as usual until we set a specific date to close!
We want to express our deepest gratitude for all of you, who have been without a doubt, the best customers we could have ever asked for. Without you, we would not have been able to make it as far as we have! Thank you all so much for supporting us over these past few years!
