The Friendly Market is a family owned, community grown business located in the unique, coastal town of Morehead City, North Carolina. Owners Matt and Mindy Fitzpatrick have made their customers and community the focus of their ever changing small business. What began as a farmer’s market style endeavor on a vacant corner in 2008 has evolved into over 4 acres that house a storefront, produce area

and full-service nursery. Our charming 6,000 square-foot building houses an incomparable selection of high-quality foods packaged to go as well as an area for fresh, local produce in season. The beautifully landscaped nursery offers North Carolina grown plants and locally sourced landscaping items. The nursery is open year round and our knowledgeable staff is at the ready to assist you with your gardening and landscaping needs. The Friendly Market is proud to partner with local growers and vendors in order to provide support for the immediate community as well as the state of North Carolina at large. We offer a welcoming atmosphere where our customers are treated like family. Our friendly, helpful staff is dedicated to making a trip to the Market an experience and not just a destination.

Happy June☀️ Starting today, our Nursery will be switching to our Summer hours, 9am-5pm daily! This year has been phenomenal and our Nursery team has knocked it out of the park - truly the best year we’ve ever had in so many ways! Say a nice (juicy) welcome to our newest seasonal cookie - our White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake Cookie🫐 Our bakery team has been working hard to perfect this recipe over the past few months and we are oh so excited for you guys to try them. These cookies are filled with fresh, local blueberries and white chocolate chips. We added cream cheese to the recipe to give these cookies their cheesecake-like consistency and the top is finished with coarse sugar to give them a little extra crunch. Some have mentioned this lunch item is a hidden gem of The Friendly Market so we’re here to uncover it for you guys - our Chicken Spring Roll with Sesame Dipping Sauce!

This item has been on our daily menu for over six years and is a long-time customer favorite. A mixture of chicken, cabbage, carrots, and green onion tossed together with a variety of sauces, wrapped in a flour tortilla and accompanied by our famous Sesame Dipping Sauce. The Spring Roll itself is delicious but when paired with the dipping sauce - it’s like nothing you’ve had before! We had a birthday on The Corner today! Ellie worked with us all last summer and just started back, we are so excited to have her on our team again! She works extremely hard and always brings the best spirit to her shift! She goes to UNC Chapel Hill and absolutely loves it!
