Today I tackled beef fat. I rendered the chunks of fat (that are now available in our store) and turned that into tallow (pics 1&2). This tallow is great for cooking as an alternative to butter or oil!! Then I took it a step further and whipped some essential oils and honey into it and made whipped tallow lotion (pic 3)! It turned out great! If this is something you're interested in starting I would say since the beef fat is the main component you want to source it high quality and locally!🐄🧴

What purpose does the fat of a cow serve? Well, it turns out it’s got lots of uses!
Saving the fat from our butchered cows and now selling it in manageable portions for whatever you wish to use it for!
You could render the fat into tallow and use it for cooking as a butter alternative - or you could take it a step farther and whip that tallow along with some other essential oils and make lotions and balms!! Whatever you decide to use it for we’re here to offer the best quality fat to our customers🐄🧴🍳

Additives in meat is something that should be avoided at all cost. The quality and simplicity of our grass-fed - grass-finished beef is unlike anything from a grocery store (and that’s the point!)
With no additives or GMOs we try to zero in on the farm to table idea: taking our steer - to a local butcher - to your dinner table.
