Update: we are all out of bouquets. Thank you everyone that has come by, as well as for the sweet messages. Appreciate you all β€οΈ
In light of Mother's Day weekend, I have placed tulip bouquets at the stand for FREE. Please limit 1-2 bouquets per customer to extend the kindness to as many moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, wives, and friends as possible. My goal is to facilitate smiles and warm moments for the women in this community. I will make a follow up post when all bouquets are gone.
This is a business page and I try not to get too personal, but today I'm going to break my own rule. I'm giving away flowers this weekend in honor of my own mother, Kim. This is my second Mother's Day without her. My Mom passed away unexpectedly on 3/17/24 at the age of 54. Many people wonder why we moved to Eldred, a very small town to which we have never been, 6.5 hours from where we were living. It's because we wanted to buy property to farm... And because it brought us 6.5 hours closer to her. It made the driving distance between us only ~3 hours instead of 9+. I dreamed of weekends at Nana's house with our children, holidays spent together, having my Mom at our kids' sporting events, just creating memories. Instead, she passed away 6 months after we moved here.
My Mom was my best friend--my guidepost, my light, my confidant. This weekend is a very heavy one for me, but sharing her memory, speaking her name, it brings me peace. I'm not sharing this for sympathy, but as a reminder to others. Remember to hold your own mothers tightly. Give them a call and say thank you for all they have done. Bring them flowers. Share a moment so you don't one day wish you did, but didn't. Life is fleeting.
Hugs to you all. Have a beautiful, happy, healthy Mother's day.
