Times they are a-changin' folks. Big John's BBQ and Rachel Lambacher Marone are scaling up with new found friends and Fort Worth BBQ experts Corey Halterman Leah Halterman to become The Hoof & Trotter located at family friendly Martin's Square in Moscow Idaho. Please take a look at our new page to learn about service dates and times while we are spooling up. The patio service entrance will roll up for the first time under new ownership this Saturday.as a kick off until the interior is complete.

Alabama conditioned Idaho BBQ met Texas BBQ and they appear to enjoy each others company. We're confident you'll agree.

Really cool news! We just met the owners of the new barbecue place that is going in next to us. I don’t know if they are on Facebook but please give them a warm welcome and say something positive. Starting a business is terrifying! Everybody needs positivity. I think they will do wonderful and I know we will eat there every day. ***UPDATE! They are The Hoof & Trotter! ***

I had the pleasure of helping support the Troy RFD/EMS Christmas party again this year. Every year I have attended this gathering the statistics regarding the number of calls always blow me away. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a contest to see how many calls you can take to help people in need. Instead it is another example of selfless human decency that you never hear about in the news and a commitment to care about ones neighbors and anyone who falls in their sphere of influence to serve. One day I feel sure I will need their help whether I like it or not and thank them in advance for their commitment. Doesn’t hurt that they all seem to like each other ;-)

We were blessed with the opportunity to support the Marines of the Palouse Mud Run this weekend at Web's Slough in St. John WA. I'm an avid runner and have been planning to run this event since they started it three years ago and haven't made it happen. Next year I hope to run, rinse off and feed the hungry race finishers again! Great family friendly event. Get it on your calendars for next year. Bring the kids and support a strong servant group of men leading a great service for veterans on the Palouse.

Howdy folks! Come on down to the beautiful grounds at PCEI for some BBQ made by folks on Latah county (that know what BBQ is supposed to taste like) have a pint or three and take in some great tunes from Yellow Gog Flats!
