The Moscow Farmers Market has been a nationally top-rated farmers market for several consecutive years! Thank you so much for choosing to visit this community event. Please be mindful of the following regular Market policies:

-Pets, emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are welcome on the sidewalks during Market hours. Only Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Service D

ogs are permitted in the main Market thoroughfare with their owners.

-This is a ni****ne free event. No va**ng, smoking, or to***co chewing is permitted.

-Solicitation is only permitted on the Speakers' Wall adjacent to Friendship Square (south of the playground). No solicitation of goods, services, etc. is permitted within the main Market thoroughfare and footprint.

-Vehicles may not park in or enter the Market footprint between the hours of 2 am and 2 pm. Main Street will open to the public beginning at 2 pm at 5th Street.

-SNAP/EBT cards and Washington State WIC and SFMNP vouchers are welcome by select Vendors. For more information on planning your visit: www.ci.moscow.id.us/724/Patrons-Shoppers.

"Dealers display their wares at the Moscow farmers market held every Saturday behind the city's old Post Office." - Idaho Argonaut, August 31, 1976.

Back in July, 1976, the Moscow Farmers Market got its start in what’s now the City Hall parking lot. The rules were simple: vendors had to grow what they sold, be local, and couldn’t set up more than two weeks in a row. And at first? It was just flowers, fruits,
veggies, and houseplants—no baked goods, meat, or crafts, as they were not allowed.

From those humble beginnings, the Market has grown into the community favorite it is today.

If you’ve ever arrived bright and early on a Market morning, you’ve probably heard the 8am bell ringing out—our official signal that the Market is open for the day. It may look a little different now, but this tradition has been part of the Market since 1997 (and maybe even earlier!).

We ring it again at 1pm to mark the close of another great Market day.

👏Once 👏a 👏year, all of our vendors gather for the annual Vendor Orientation. It’s a highlight for us—not just because we get to see everyone in person, but also because we have the opportunity to recognize some truly outstanding vendors! ⭐️ Special shoutouts to 👇

🏆Completing 30 seasons as a Market Vendor is longtime, Pullman-based woodworker J Lewis Payne. Lewis will be officially retiring from the Market and will be missed in Zone 1 but is still open to craft a custom product just for you!

It’s clear that many voices and faces have shaped the Moscow Farmers Market into what it is today. We are deeply humbled by the legacy of individuals like Joe Wilson of Wilson Banner Ranch, and by the lasting contributions he and his family made not only to the Market, but to our broader local and regional food system.

While staff is unable to attend his memorial service today, we would be remiss not to acknowledge his passing. We believe one of the most meaningful ways to honor his life is by continuing to support and shop from family farms like Wilson Banner Ranch.
