We love a good harvesting basket. Almost as much as a good background story!

Stop by and see Rivertop Farm llc and their new baskets tomorrow 9-12

I love a good basket for harvesting in the garden, so while going through a few of my late grandmother's belongings this past weekend of course I had to bring these two home with me! It turns out, the one on the right was made by my great "Aunt Lib," who turned an amazing ninety-six years old this year, and given to her sister, my granny, in 1991!

So to some this is just a basket, but for me it's a reminder of the strong women who came before me, passing down generations of knowledge about living off the land and using natural resources in a sustainable way. While some would just donate them or even toss them in the trash, I will gladly fill these baskets over and over again for the nourishment of my family and my farmer's market customers 🧺🥰
