One year ago today, I put a few baked goods on a little stand at the end of our driveway and took a chance on a dream. 🤎
I had no idea what Burton’s Farm & Bakery would become.
That first little stand feels like a lifetime ago when I look at where we are today. What started with a few baked goods, a little stand, and a whole lot of hope has grown into our little farmstand shed that so many of you have come to know and love.
But the biggest part of this story isn't the shed.
It's you.
Every person who stopped by for the first time. Every customer who came back. Every order. Every message. Every share. Every kind word. Every time you told someone about our little farmstand. Every time you walked up to the stand and trusted me to make something for your family.
You have helped turn something I dreamed about into something real.
This past year hasn't always been easy. There have been long nights, early mornings, exhaustion, setbacks, storms, power outages, moments of doubt, and plenty of times I wondered how I was going to keep up. But there have also been so many moments that reminded me exactly why I started.
Today, I get to look at these two pictures and see so much more than a little stand and a shed.
I see a year of hard work.
A year of learning.
A year of growth.
A year of taking chances.
A year of my family cheering me on.
And a year of people like you believing in this little dream right alongside me.
So today, on September 6th, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for making the first year of Burton’s Farm & Bakery something I will never forget.
