Some of our dry cows heading to greener pastures 🐮🐮🐮

This is Miss Annie. Sadly, we found out she stepped on a massive thorn, and she’s really sore and favoring that foot. So this morning, it was a warm Epsom salt soak. Just me and her, taking it slow. This is the unglamorous side of farming, the kind of care that you don’t always see, but it’s right at the heart of how we farm. We pay attention, and we act. We don’t cut corners, ever. Because healthy cows mean healthy milk, and we’ll do everything we can to give them the best care and provide the best milk we possibly can.
Happy Wednesday Y’all! Come see us we have a fresh load of Amish baked goods! 🫶🏽🐮💗

Today we finally got to use our milk cooling tank for the very first time. It’s hard to even put into words how long we’ve been working toward this. The late nights, the early mornings, every hurdle we’ve had to jump, and the blood, sweat, and tears—it all led to this moment. Honestly, it feels huge.

This milk cooling tank isn’t just a piece of equipment. It’s a symbol of growth, answered prayers, and a dream that we’ve worked so hard to build. It cools our milk from 102 degrees down to 40 degrees in just 30 minutes, which means fresher milk, better quality, a longer shelf life, and the very best product possible for our customers.

We’re also having a custom platform welded this week, so there will no longer be any need to use a ladder. Then, next up is a pipeline, which will eliminate the need for us to pour the milk altogether. Instead, it will travel directly from the cow through a stainless steel pipeline and straight into the cooling tank. Every improvement we make is another step toward making our dairy more efficient while continuing to provide the highest-quality milk possible.

One of the things I’m most thankful for is how much easier this is going to make the job for all of us. Farming is hard work, and anything that lightens the load while improving the quality of what we produce is something worth celebrating. It means less labor for our employees, less labor for us, and more time spent focusing on continuing to provide the very best for all of you.

Now it’s Bridgett’s and my turn to get every bottle filled, labeled, and stocked in the refrigerators from the cooling tank! I want to give Bridgett a shoutout because she truly deserves it. She pays attention to the little details and genuinely cares about doing things the right way. Having employees who take as much pride in this dairy as we do is something I’ll never take for granted.

I’m also so thankful for Jacob, who shows up and helps us on the weekends. His willingness to pitch in whenever we need him means so much.

And I have to say it—my husband and Colton are the backbone outside of the filter and bottling room. Day in and day out, they carry so much of what keeps this place moving. From caring for the cows to keeping everything running smoothly, solving problems, fixing whatever needs fixing, and doing the countless behind-the-scenes jobs that most people never see, they are the foundation that allows the rest of this to happen. Their work often goes unnoticed, but this dairy simply would not function without them. I’m so deeply grateful for both of them and for everything they do.

I’m incredibly grateful for our amazing team, for every single customer who has supported this dream, and for how far God has brought us. This is another huge milestone for Ranch Girl’s Dairy, and we truly couldn’t have done it without all of you.

Thank you for believing in us, supporting local agriculture, and choosing to support a small family farm. Here’s to many more loads of fresh milk and many more milestones together. 🥹🫶🏽💗🥛🐮

Why “raw” milk? 🧐

Pasteurization kills bad bacteria, sure. But it also gets rid of all the good bacteria too. The result is “dead” food. Raw milk, is a “living” product, full of naturally occurring enzymes and beneficial bacteria. Just like God intended it to be.

Sourced from healthy cows and trusted farms, raw milk is a superfood, highly nourishing and a wonderful addition to your family’s table. Get to know your farmer it makes ALL the difference…
