✨ Chicken Breast Au Poivre ✨

Creamy, peppery, savory and SO good. This is one of those dinners that feels fancy but is actually pretty simple to make!

For the chicken:
• Smart Chicken Air Chilled Chicken breasts
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
• ½ tsp garlic
• 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Au Poivre Sauce:
• 2½ cups heavy cream
• 1 shallot, finely diced
• 5 garlic cloves, minced
• 3 sprigs fresh rosemary, finely chopped
• 2 tsp crushed black peppercorns
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp dry sherry

How to make it:
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for about 4 minutes per side. You’re looking for that beautiful golden sear—the chicken does not need to be fully cooked yet.

Add the sauce ingredients and spoon that creamy goodness over the chicken.

Transfer to a 400°F oven and bake for approximately 45–55 minutes, basting the chicken with the sauce every 15–20 minutes.

Cook until the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.

Serve with mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus, and don’t forget to spoon plenty of that Au Poivre sauce over EVERYTHING. 🤌🏼
