🚫 CLOSED: Vendors at Painted Tree Boutiques were notified Tuesday morning that the franchise is abruptly shutting down all locations, including the store at 552 N. Thompson Ln., effective immediately.

Hundreds of small business owners were given no notice of the closure, but ordered to immediately retrieve their merchandise.

No official reason for the sudden closure has been provided. The development follows unconfirmed reports that the company may be considering Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Painted Tree Boutiques operated over 60 locations nationwide, including additional stores in Franklin, Memphis, Madison and Knoxville.
