Along our Main Street Corridor… we must admit, when the Big Muddy Monster wanted to help recruit participants for the June 20th Big Muddy Monster 5k Walk/Run in downtown Murphysboro, IL, we were skeptical. It’s with a sad heart that I have to announce the end of Murphysboro Farmers Market. There will not be any markets for the rest of this summer. We have had long time vendors not be able to participate any longer. Homer Jenkins has officially retired. Farmers markets are not a market without fruits and veggies. This year’s weather has been hard to produce crops. We have loved managing the market and we have great memories. If anyone is interested in becoming the market manager please contact Sandra Ripley at the Murphysboro City office. ALSO if you have favorite items that you still want please contact the individual vendors.

🍅 🫑 🌽 Homer’s Homegrown with Homer and Angie will be there and ready to serve you with all the veggies from A to Z! Looking forward for all our favorites and just to name a few —green beans, tomatoes, peppers, corn, and popcorn too!

🫙 🥒 💃 🍓 Deep Roots Family Homestead with the Baskin Duo—Darrin & Kim has great home canned products from strawberry sangria jam, pickles, salsa, sweet & spicy mustard and more.

🐓 👚 👕 Chicken Scratch Crafts with Haley & Rhonda Conder will have resin jewelry and crafts. They are all stocked up with bracelets, necklaces, earrings, t-shirts and a variety of crafty items

🥖 🫙 🫐 Sonja Lallemand with Beau Reve Farm will have home canned products such as herbs—dried and live, jams, jellies flavored vinegars as well as great homemade baked goods.

💫 🪐 Space Age freeze dried treats will have candy, veggies, etc that are a fun treat.

🪴 🌿 Jacqui Trammel will have a variety of of plants, herbs and veggies.

Just a reminder that our vendors may come and go as they need to. We have some vendors who never miss a Saturday and then some that come occasionally. We will have a variety of vendors each Saturday. I will post all the vendors here for each week .

🪶 🐻 Creations by Big Bear from Al Morgan will be selling Native American items, gourd rattles, bowls, vases, native style jewelry, flutes and dream catchers

🥖 🥯 Co-Dough Sourdough by Megan will be joining us with delicious breads, cookies, bagels, cinnamon rolls, etc.

🔥 🧊 Fire & Ice with Sarah will be at the market with some refreshing teas, lemonades and iced coffee! So excited for a drink vendor to be at our market especially on a very hot day! Sarah also has some great all natural cleaning products.
