Wishing all you fine folks a happy Thanksgiving from High Mesa Chile Co! We are incredibly grateful for your support and wanted to share a personal thank you from our small team to you.

From farmer’s market beginnings to growing distribution and popping up on store shelves across the country, we couldn’t be more thankful for all the support that has gotten us here.

Despite endless options, folks like you have opted to support the small guys trying to make something unique with old school methods in small batches. Supporting us and other small businesses consistently, but especially during the holidays, makes such an outsized impact on local economies and the craftsmanship and quality in the food system overall.

We are extremely excited to announce that a couple of our products won Scovie Awards this year! Both our Bloody Maria and Roasted Hatch hot sauce won 1st place in their categories against some great competition. This was our first time submitting for these awards, and it’s great to see the hard work pay off.

For those unfamiliar, the Scovie Awards (“Scovie” based on the Scoville scale, which is used for measuring heat in chiles) are THE awards for all things spicy in the food world. We’re incredibly happy with the honors and will continue to try and make the highest quality spicy products available.

Our Roasted Ancho Paloma Mix is kind of a sleeper amongst the rest of the crew, so we thought it deserved a quick shoutout. This is our take on the classic Paloma cocktail, made smokey and earthy from roasted anchos, roasted guajillos, and roasted chiles de árbol. All of that balances the tartness from the grapefruit juice and jamaica (hibiscus) perfectly. It finishes with a bit of a bite from the fresh ginger juice that we juice in house.

The options for mixing are endless, but to emulate the classic, mix 2 oz. mixer + 2 oz. tequila/mezcal + 2 oz. sparkling water and you’ll be ready to rock.
