Thank you everyone for a great state fair. After the fire near our booth, we both had at least a day down with allergies or colds. They did a great job at the fair, but it took a full day to return to normal.

We will be at the Murray Downtown Farmers Market this weekend from 7-12pm.

For the last 5 or 6 years we attended the Labor Day show in Grand Rivers. A good show, worth your considering, but we will NOT be there this year. There are some who come to see us... just wanted to give a heads up. $2 cover charge per person.

Same next week, Murray Downtown Farmers Market.

The following week we'll be in Shelbyville to meet with a bunch of wholesale buyers for Kentucky Proud, we'll be at the Murray Downtown Farmers Market, and the Calvert Drive in Saturday Night Vendor show.

1. We have some outstanding orders. We came back from state fair, with alot less inventory. Our last week, Paula primarily was able to get almost 1,100 jars done.

Yeah that's 91 cases in about 5 days. We help each other, and we have a part time employee, but I had to set up in Louisville, so she carried that through.

We will be working on getting stuff out the door asap and making what is needed. We'll be reaching out tomorrow to let orders know personally.

2. We made pickled okra today and dill and spicy dill pickles tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing you Saturday, and we'll have lots of hots.... like Punisher and Habanero Jelly... but we'll be picked over for sure.

3. We are ordering jars for early next week. But next weekend, we should be 75% up to speed as to flavors and a batch of BBQ Sauce should be done and in stock long term by next week. State fair lets us fill in some gaps we can't usually week to week.

There will be some additional updates, and if you specifically are waiting for something.. post a comment. We have a white board where we prioritize. Sometimes we are guessing, but if we know someone is waiting... we push.

Just got home from state fair last night…

…no rest for the weary this time.

In hoptown getting some pickling cukes and okra and we’re admiring the pumpkins coming in.

See you at the Murray farmers market this Saturday.

When you get an email at 0500 that there has been a fire at your column.

Only property lost thankfully and the damaged was localized.

Rumor was it was a battery that overheated.

Thank you everyone who has been coming to the Kentucky State Fair this year. For us it's been a record year so far and great seeing so many people from all over who have come back each year.

Paula is buy herself today, I'm lounging by the pool, feet up with a Pina Colada... or in bed trying to reboot and grabbing a snack... If you know.... you know... :)

If coming to the fair, during the week is good getting in. Saturdays' are more difficult. So come early and try to arrive before 10 or after 300ish. The traffic was heavy and the weather also looks great, so lots of people.

We have agreed the Border Collie herding demonstration is one of the coolest things at the fair.

For the kiddos, you've got the 4H area where you can pet just about anything, a neat milking demonstration, and the State police have a peddle car area, not unlike Legolands'. Gets the energy out.

The rides outside are a really top notch concessionaire. Well maintained from the looks and nice people. We meet people during their breaks.

The hardest working people seem to be the bathroom attendants and the crossing guards. Long shifts....

We will be lower on product by Saturday, we did our best getting product done, but if you are in the area, we'd love to say hi. Sold out of carrots and about 4 others, but still have about 30 flavors. No rest for the weary, so we'll have some fresh for the Murray Farmers' Market on Sept 5th.

We are in the vendor hall, near pillar "C-11". If looking at the entrance to the Expo center, or overhead google view, you'll see it's shaped, we are to the right.

If here, stop and say hi to Touch of Fudge, LLC, The Popcorn Station, Wigglewow (dog treats made by special needs adults), Wisconsin Cheese and sausage and Georgia's Pies all have great stuff.
