Today is World Honey Bee Day🐝 !
( Saturday, August 15, 2026 ) . A day set aside to honor the honey bees and local beekeepers while promoting environmental awareness and bee protection. Celebrate these important pollinators !
Ways to Observe
•Buy Local Honey: Purchase raw honey or beeswax items directly from your certified beekeepers.
•Plant Flowers: Grow native, nectar-rich plants and wildflowers in your yard to feed local pollinators
•Skip Pesticides: Use safe, non-toxic alternatives for managing garden pests to keep bees safe. Remember, even organic labeled pesticides & insecticides will kill bees. Spray during late evening or night when bees have stopped foraging and gone back to their hives. Never spray open flowers or plants currently in full bloom.
