As the Western Market season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported Splendid Sprouts this year, from those who stopped by out of curiosity to those who came back week after week. 💚

This summer was more than a market. It was proof that people care about where their food comes from and what it stands for. Together, we showed that local, sustainable farming can thrive right here in our community.

While our chalet is now closed for the season, we are not slowing down! We are still taking regular orders and preparing to transition into our new hydroponic facility in Muskegon, where the next chapter of Splendid Sprouts begins!

Happy Earth Day from Splendid Sprouts! 🌏

Today we celebrate the beauty of creation, the soil, the sun, the rain, and every living thing that reminds us just how intricate and awe-inspiring this planet really is.

And in honor of that, here is something you probably did not know:

❕Fun Fact:
Plants can actually respond to sound 🎶
Scientific studies have found that exposure to low frequency harmonious sounds like classical music or ambient instrumental tones can stimulate plant growth. In contrast, harsh or dissonant noise has been linked to slower development or stress responses in plants.
And yes, that includes words. Just like people, what plants are exposed to shapes how they grow.
