After 37 wonderful years, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of our Dagwood's Deli - Myrtle Beach and Bumstead's Pub on Joe White Avenue. This is not a choice we came to lightly, as this restaurant has been more than just a place to eat โ it has been a home, a gathering spot, and a part of countless memories in our community. While itโs never easy to say goodbye, this change allows us to focus our energy and resources on keeping our remaining locations strong and thriving, focusing on more catering and future concepts.
We want to assure you that our other two locations โ Dagwood's Deli & Sports Bar in Surfside Beach and Dagwood's Deli & Sports Bar - North Myrtle Beach โ will remain open and ready to welcome you.
Since opening in 1988 and subsequently the Pub in 2003, weโve had the honor of serving generations of families, being the start of many relationships, celebrating your milestones, cheering on the Redskins, and sharing in your everyday moments. The friendships, laughter, and kindness weโve experienced here will stay with us forever.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible staff โ past and present โ whose hard work, dedication, and passion have made this place what it is. And to you, our loyal customers turned family, thank you for trusting us with your time, your celebrations, and your appetites. Your support over these decades has meant more than words can say.
Our final day of service at Dagwoodโs Deli/Bumsteadโs Pub will be Saturday, August 30th. We hope youโll stop in before then to share a meal, a story, and maybe even a hug, so we can say goodbye the way weโve always done things here โ together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of our 37-year journey at this location. While this chapter closes, we look forward to continuing to serve you at our other restaurants for many years to come.
Love to Love,
Jon Staton
