The healthiest communities are often the most connected ones. 🌟 250 years of America deserves a head start! 🇺🇸

The word “organic” gets used a lot. We know that. But inside this store, it has never been a marketing label. Since 2004 it has been a standard we hold ourselves to on behalf of the people who shop here & those who want to learn more. Militantly organic.

None of this happens on its own. It’s our team, our shoppers, our farmers. They care about what this store stands for. They’re the reason this community feels what it feels when it walks through our doors.

If you know what to look for, June at Food & Thought is one of the most rewarding moments of the year to shop! Here’s what’s in its prime right now for us and how to bring the best of it home. 😎

🍑 Peaches & Nectarines: Cut it, set it on a plate, add a spoonful of something creamy. A good yogurt, a soft cheese, a drizzle of raw honey. Let the fruit be the centerpiece! The most underused move with a ripe peach or nectarine is doing nothing at all.

🍇 Grapes: Genuinely good cold, rinsed and eaten on a hot afternoon. That temperature matters more than we give it credit for in June.

🍒 Cherries: Cherry pie, topped on a salad with fresh herbs & a lemony dressing, or just set a bowl of them on the table and let people reach.

🍈 Cantaloupe: Its high water content makes it genuinely hydrating in a way that matters in June heat. Not a marketing claim, just the nature of the fruit.

🍉 Watermelon: Cube it, keep it cold, and let it sit alongside things! It gets along with cucumber, fresh basil, and feta if you’re in that direction.
