It’s with a tender buzzing heart that we share that we decided to dissolve The Honey Collective and are no longer in operation. We have adored telling the story of Nashville’s backyard beekeepers and seeing so many of your faces light up as you tried hyper-local honey for the first time.

We also couldn’t have done this without our retail partners .cafe We’re exploring opportunities to ensure that you can still find some of our beekeeper’s honey on many of their shelves in the future.

We can’t thank yall enough for all of the support and community. Keep supporting your local beekeepers and eating all the local honey you can possibly eat!

We love sharing a passion for beekeeping with the community, especially the future generation of beekeepers. High School has a set of hives cared for by students studying hive health (how cool is that?) and we recently had the chance to assist with pre winter hive checks. Keep up the great work, young beeks! 🐝📚

Trust the locals. One of our favorite Sunday shopping stops is in East Nashville. Whether you are stopping by for grilling supplies, home and yard improvement projects or just for fun, treat yourself to some of our local honey. 🐝

We had a short tease of nice weather last weekend, but the heat is back. Our bees feel it and are hanging outside the hive. This is called bearding. 🔥🐝

We love sharing our passion for sustainable apriculture with new beekeepers. That’s why we started our apprenticeship program this year. The group has been experiencing hands on learning at our cooperative hives at Cornelia Fort this spring. Beekeeping is challenging, so having a community of support can make a big difference. 🐝

Janey and Sara Beth are on the case of some sneaky bees in a basement. Sometimes bees try to play house in a wall, attic or other residential structure. In this case, we have to cut them out. It makes it a little harder to find the queen, but when we do, the colony should follow. 🐝🪚🏠
