This meal had us, here at P.R.G., weak in the knees! After the first bite…BAM! Everyone was on the floor, blown away by skills and creation. Within minutes the food was gone! Chef created a simple yet, rich flavored Pheasant Breast Entrée with a crisp, fresh, spicy cucumber salad served with Dozen Bakery’s light-as-air, Sourdough loaf.

Meet Chef Sydney Benjamin!

’s story is as beautiful as she is. Food has always been a love for Chef Sydney. Growing up, she was inspired by her aunt, who loved to throw down in the kitchen for family get-togethers. One of her favorite things to do growing up was spending time with her aunt, in and out of the kitchen. When they weren’t enjoying the dance (as Anthony Bourdain would call it) of cooking together, they would go to local farm stands, where her aunt would teach her about the different types of foods or watch the Food Network channel on TV.

When was in college, she got a part-time job dish washing at a local college dive bar. It was the fast-paced action of the kitchen and the instant gratification of seeing people's faces when they would take their first bite that took Sydney’s heart. She dropped out of college and dove headfirst into the food industry. Today, you can catch Sous Chef throwing down in the kitchen, just like her aunt, at Henrietta Red.
