Look, I never thought “Bruschetta Burrata” and “Bunn” would end up in the same sentence unless I was playing a game of food trivia. But here we are, and it’s somehow exactly right.

This dish is like your classic tomato bruschetta—but with its pinky out. Diced tomatoes lovingly grown by Tim & Nancy Bass at Sunburst Farm in Momeyer, North Carolina—so fresh they probably came in here with dirt still on 'em—get tossed with just the right hit of olive oil and fresh Italian herbs. They land on top of golden, toasted bread that’s got crunch for days. Not thick slices—nope. This ain’t no tomato sandwich. This is bruschetta in its proper form: bite-sized, handheld, and dangerously easy to eat twelve of without meaning to.

And then. Then. They go and crown it with a scoop of creamy, cold burrata. Not just mozzarella—Burrata, y’all. Like mozzarella’s richer, fancier cousin who vacations in Capri and only shops at farmers markets. It’s soft. It’s decadent. It makes the whole dish feel like tomato season showed up in a silk robe.

You taste this and suddenly you understand how someone from Bunn ends up pronouncing “Bruschetta” with confidence—and maybe a little bit of an accent.

Think of it as a dozen bite-sized open-faced tomato sandwiches, each one a little love letter from the sun.
