One-Pot Creamy Cajun Sausage Pasta 🍝

This week’s Andouille sausage has us thinking comfort food, skillet nights, and easy dinners with big flavor.

Smoky, savory, creamy, and honestly the kind of meal that disappears fast.

What would you add to yours? 🔥

Our favorite time of the week: Smoked Meat Friday 🔥

We know the trends are good…
but how about the clean version?

Pulled pork has our mouth watering this week.
Low and slow, fresh off the smoker, and ready for your Friday meal.

Peaches. Nectarines. Watermelon. Mango. 🍑🍉☀️

One of the best parts of market season is when the produce tables start looking like summer again.

Fresh fruit, watermelon samples, conversations in the aisle, and the kind of food you wait all year for

Local food systems are built one market trip at a time.
The farmers. The producers. The conversations. The people who keep showing up.

Somewhere along the way the Smokin’ Oaks tote became part of that rhythm — not just a bag, but a signal that you’re choosing something different every time you walk through the door.

That’s what Farm Friends Rewards is about. Not points. The habit of showing up.

Ask us about it next time you’re in.

Around here, food conversations tend to go a little deeper.

viral chicken salad in a bag… but make it Smokin’ Oaks style.

Smoked Meat Fridays are one of our favorite times of the week — house smoked meats, clean ingredients, and a market full of people gathering around real food.

Thankful for our Nashville Community!

The numbers don’t lie.

In 1970 there were 134 million cattle raised for 203 million Americans. Today there are 87 million cattle for 342 million people.

The herd didn’t shrink because demand dropped. It shrunk because the system consolidated — fewer farms, fewer processors, more control concentrated at the top.
We still raise ours on pasture. Still take the time it takes. Still answer to the animal and the land before we answer to a margin.
That’s the difference you taste.

Chicken thighs are the most underrated cut in the case.
More flavorful than breasts. Harder to overcook.

And this week showed us how to make them next level — hummus crusted, air fried in 15 minutes, served over a Mediterranean salad.

Clean ingredients. Fast weeknight dinner. Meal prep friendly too.
Our chicken thighs come from our farm and Joyce Farms. Pasture raised. No antibiotics.

You learned the difference. Here’s what to do with it. 🙌🏽

Cage free. Free range. Organic. Pasture raised.

They’re not the same thing — and the food system is counting on you not knowing the difference.

Cage free means no cages — but still indoors, still crowded, still no sunlight. Free range means technically outdoor access — often a small door most birds never find. Organic means cleaner feed — but still possible in full confinement.

Pasture raised means actually outside. Foraging on real land. The way chickens were designed to live.

We are proud and so very thankful to have trusted partners like Farms

Pasture raised. No antibiotics.
The food system isn’t transparent. We are. Ask us anything.

Earth Day is a good reminder. But for us it’s every day.

Regenerative farming means the land doesn’t just survive our operation — it gets better because of it. Our chickens fertilize the soil as they forage. Our hogs aerate and build organic matter. Our cattle rotate through pasture, building soil with every step.
The land feeds the animals. The animals feed the land. That’s not a tagline. That’s the whole system.

We’ve been farming this way in Robertson County, Tennessee since 2015. Not because it’s trending. Because it’s right.
