Last week I took a few days off of work and did an internship to finally learn to make caramels. This was my very first batch. My dad let me do everything from start to finish except for lifting up and pouring out the product because the entire store and all the equipment and everything about it is completely formatted around my dad‘s body mechanics and he is half a foot taller than me and we felt it could end in a very sticky disaster. I’ve always been very intimidated to do this, I hate cooking, and I wasn’t sure I would be able to do it, but my dad stated “you have a masters degree and I assure you this is not rocket science.”
